Uses of Adangal

Adangal during the buying/selling of land

The Adangal is useful when buying or selling lands. It gives information on who is the current owner of the land. It also lists the area of the land, and what kind of farming is currently being carried out.

By getting older adangals, one can also assess the previous owners, and how the land was being used before.

Adangal for farming uses

With information like the nature of the land, classification of land, type of soil, water streams, etc. the Adangal can be used to understand the farming nature of the land.

It can be used to apply for any farming schemes declared by the government.

Adangal vs ROR 1B

The ROR-1B is also an important document for agricultural lands.

The Adangal only contains descriptions of the agricultural land and the owner's name.

The ROR-1B (Record of Rights) contains the mutation date also. It is used to understand how agricultural land has been transferred from one person to another.

Conclusion

Adangals are an important part of agricultural documentation, issued by the Andhra Pradesh government. They are used when buying and selling lands, and also to avail easy access to government services.

When considering agricultural lands, one must also get the ROR 1B to know the mutation date and history of agricultural land. Downloading village map will help you find your land records geographically.
